Here is the situation that both employees
and employers find themselves in today relative to identity
theft:
- The incidence of Identity theft is large and growing rapidly
- Identity Theft is a serious problem for employees and
they are ill equipped to
handle it
- Employees spend many hours resolving the problem and for
some employees most of those hours are on company time
- The problem is so irritating to the employee that they
talk to and disturb their coworkers around them
- The problem can last from a few weeks to a number of months
to resolve when the employees attempt to do it themselves
- For many employees this is an very emotional experience
and they feel extremely violated
- The media has created tremendous interest and attention
to the problem of identity theft and the defenselessness
of the American public
The list can go on seemingly
forever, but identity theft is very real, very time consuming
and very expensive for both employees and employers.
