Credit Report
The credit reporting consists of one and
possibly up to three (Experian, TransUnion and Equifax)
credit reports.
The credit reports are the first and most
basic type of reporting that assists in determining your
credit history and the possibility of an error due to identity
theft
Included in the credit report are an individual’s
personal information, credit account information, bankruptcy,
tax and other public sector information, information on
inquires and various other information.
There are several instances where a person
can receive a credit report at no cost. While this is helpful
for those people able to avail themselves of the report,
the inclusion of a credit report is considered standard
in the design of an identity theft program.
